Editor––There is some form of food shortage in our region, some in more strain than others.
However, the weather is not entirely to blame, we must admit that, farmers have fallen short in the area of marketing their produce and so the common assumption has remined that- there is no food.
By marketing products, areas without food can access the food thus aiding in shooting down the rising prices.
In the different areas in our country, the ministry of Agriculture should put in place marketing systems to help farmers sell off their produce.
Given that the rains are here, markets should be able to have substantial amounts of food this year.
More so, now would be the right time for those in authority to sensitise the famers about food storage.
