Editor–– Recently at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, a man was held by  the police after he was allegedly found with one kilogramme of cocaine, worth millions of shillings.
 This of course in simply one of the many cases of drug trafficking slowing taking ground in the region. It’s not new theory that drug use/abuse and crime are synonimous.
Go out to any streets known to be a hungout for drug dealers, addicts, and that part of town anywhere in the region is bound to be rife with crime.
The danger crime impacts on social,  health and economic aspects of our nations. No investor wants to entrust his hard earned cash in an unsafe country. The East African comnmunity MUST deal with this fast growing drug problem for the sake of growth, and development of our societies.
