KAMPALA, UGANDA -The private sector has been encouraged to recruit more disabled persons so as to reduce unemployment levels among disabled persons.
This was during a career fair workshop conducted last week in Kampala to address the continuous challenges gripping disabled persons in the employment sector.
Mr  Sulaiman Madada, the State Minister for the Elderly and the Disabled asserted that there was a continuous myth that surrounded PWDs when it comes to employment.
They cited sexual  harassment and working conditions that are unfavourable to the disabled as some of the challenges they face.
