Rwanda Development Board has appointed Myriad Marketing, an MMGY Global company as their North American representative.
Myriad will manage the marketing, travel trade relations and public relations efforts in the United States and Canada.
With service out of New York and Los Angeles, the Rwanda Development Board seeks to increase the US and Canadian visitation to the destination.
“Myriad is proud to be representing the Rwanda Development Board as this incredible country begins to gain awareness among the North American markets as a tourism destination,” says Julie Averay Cuesta, Senior Vice President of Myriad Travel Marketing.
“We believe with Myriad’s representation expertise and Rwanda’s high-calibre tourism experiences and upcoming developments, we can help bring Rwanda to the forefront of wildlife, adventure and outdoor travel.”
Rwanda is an East African country with the highest level of safety rating in the entire continent of Africa and number nine in the entire world.
Home to 14 primate species representing one-fifth of the primate species in Africa, Rwanda’s strong conservation and sustainability efforts have allowed for a 26.3% increase in primate population since 2010.
20 years following the 1994 Genocide, the country’s resiliency, positive outlook and vibrant culture has allowed it to become a safe, world-class tourism destination known for its incredible wildlife and conservation efforts, coffee exports, authentic and cultural experiences.
“We are thrilled to have Myriad join us in efforts to promote our remarkable destination,” says Belise Kariza, Chief Tourism Officer.
“Their expertise in international destination representation will allow us to make great strides to increase visitation from North America.
“We’re in an incredible position and look forward to further promoting our dynamic landscape- from our capital city Kigali to our volcanoes, rainforest and safaris, new luxury properties, and annual signature events such as our Kwita Izina, gorilla naming ceremony. We’re looking forward to seeing how the destination grows from here.”
