Panasonic to launch headquarters in Cape Town

KAMPALA, UGANDA- Panasonic Corporation, formerly known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd is set to launch its new Africa headquarters recently relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

The company, whose Global headquarters are located in Kadoma, Osaka in Japan, was founded in 1918 as a producer of lightbulb sockets and has grown to become one of the largest Japanese electronics producers alongside Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba and Canon Inc.

In addition to electronics, it offers non-electronic products and services such as home renovation services. Panasonic is the world’s fourth-largest television manufacturer by 2012 market share.

The Cape Town launch will be at Hyde Park House on 12th July in  Cape Town and will be attended by the Western Cape Minister of Finance, Dr. Ivan Meyer and Premier Helen Zille who will address media and guests alongside Panasonic South Africa’s Managing Director, Hide Kaneko.

A Special guest, Springbok rugby captain, Siya Kolisi will also be in attendance.

There will be exciting announcements made at the launch as well as the opportunity to experience the new lifestyle showroom.
