Pay-TV subscribers have had the last laugh as service providers are seriously slashing their subscription fees.
The first Pay TV service provider to bring down prices was DSTV who recently announced major cuts to a number of their packages.
Now, Tanzanian headquartered Azam TV has followed suit, slashing prices on most of their packages.
Dennis Kalikwani the Head of Marketing at Azam TV Uganda has announced that existing customers will enjoy two months free subscription when they pay three months subscription up from on any package of their choice (Azampure shs 10, 000, Azam plus shs 25000 and Azam play shs 37,000).
“This is Azam TV’s way of saying thank you to our customers for years of loyalty. It is the beginning of greater things to come from Azam TV,” said Kalikwani at their offices in Kololo.
Kalikwani told the media that to ensure that more customers subscribe to Azam pay-tv services, they have also announced new price changes for the pay-TV with immediate effect starting from 17th September.
According to Kalikwani, changes will be for the new connectivity in their new promotion. For the full kit, one will have to pay UGX130, 000 down from shs 199,000 and for the decoder, one will pay as low as shs 85,000 down from shs 138,500 and all new customers will enjoy one-month free subscription on Azam play package.
