Swedish based striker Alexis Bakka of Carlstad United and Kirizestom Ntambi who plies his trade at Coffee FC in Ethiopia are the two professional players Uganda Cranes Head Coach Sebastien Desabre has dropped from his team travelling for the 2019 AFCON Finals due in Egypt starting 21st June.
Desabre has surprisingly included locally based players Taddeo Lwanga who plays for Vipers SC and Allan Kyambadde of Kampala Capital City Authority who most people had thought would not make the cut.
A group of 27 players pitched camp in Abu Dhabi two weeks ago in preparations for the AFCON Finals. Moses Waisswa Ndondi (Knee Injury) and Saddam Ibrahim Juma (Fever) joined Bakka and Ntambi among those that will not be part of the Uganda Cranes team at 2019 AFCON.
Uganda will kick off its 2019 AFCON Finals against the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 22, in a Group A match encounter. Uganda Cranes will later play Zimbabwe on June 26 before winding up their Group stage matches against Egypt on June 30.
