Kenya Motor Sport Federation Sets Total Economy Run Date

The Kenya Motor Sport Federation (KMSF) has set the date for this year’s Total Excellium Economy Run for June 22nd.

This annual event has been held by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club for the past 37 years to encourage driving safely within speed limits.

The route will start at the ABC service station in Waiyaki way and finish at the Total Moi road station in the centre of Naivasha town. The winner will be the competitor using the least amount of fuel within the allocated time.

Among the entries already received is Shyam Soni who will be participating for the first time in his Alfa 156 sports saloon which was made in 2000.

He is listed in the class for cars with fuel injection engines up to 1800 cc and will be up against experienced competitors like Peter Wanday and Vanu Chavda.

After completing the course competitors will gather in the grounds of Matteo’s Italian restaurant on South Lake Road. This will be the venue for a car care contest and the lunch time prize giving.
