KAMPALA, Uganda-Jumia, the leading online shop in Uganda has partnered with principal logistics companies DHL and Aramex to provide exclusive 24-hr delivery for mobile phones, tablets and laptops in Kampala, in the upcoming Jumia Mobile Week that will ran from 19th - 25th March, 2018.
These new logistics providers will supplement other existing partners that Jumia is working with.
“We understand the anticipation that comes with purchasing a new gadget, which is why we have chosen partners that have a proven record for efficient delivery, and have shortened delivery time in Kampala from the usual 3-6 days.” Chris Nyaga, Jumia’s Chief Operations Officer confirmed saying.
Additionally, as part of the biggest mobile phone sale Uganda has ever seen, Jumia has also partnered with Posta Uganda to set up a new package pick-up station at Posta CBD station at Speke Road for those who opt to pick up their items.
“Jumia is proud to hold a sale of this magnitude in Uganda and shoppers can expect the very best service, right from when the order is placed up until delivery. We have targeted the Central Business district which is accessible to many people.” Nyaga stated.
Mobile phones, tablets and accessories will be discounted up to 40% during Jumia Mobile Week, and shoppers will also have first access to the Samsung Galaxy S9 as well as brands never-before-seen on the Ugandan market.
