Ethiopian Airlines’ maiden Istanbul flight called off

The Turkish Aviation Authority has said no for now to the planned maiden flight between Addis Ababa and Istanbul operated by Ethiopian Airlines.

Star Alliance Partner Ethiopian Airlines had planned to start new services between Addis Ababa and Istanbul effective December 5, 2018.

However, the airline was forced to postpone the start of this new flight to March 4, 2019.

It said in a statement that they were ready to start the flights as scheduled but the blame is put on the Turkish Aviation Authority for the delay in having issues to refuse the necessary permit due to operating issues and landing slot problems.
