Beefing comedians make peace at one man show
Kampala, Uganda – It was only a matter of when and not if Kracker’s senior comedian Patrick Idringi aka Salvador and Laftaz would bury their hatchet for the good of the comedy industry.
Many of the Laftaz comedy group members started out with Idringi as the Krackers but conflicts led to their breakup to the extent that some members didn’t see eye to eye.
Last Wednesday Salvador broke the chains and performed for the first time at Laftaz Comedy Lounge since he parted ways with the group more than three years ago. This was at the Second One-Man Show, a new strategy meant to revive the waning fan base of comedy, sponsored by soft drink Mirinda from Crown Beverages.
Salvador put up an amazing performance on the night, working the crowd, sending many of the revelers home with cracked ribs due to his humour and wit.
To show that Salvador and his former members have changed like Saul transformed to Paul, one of Salvador’s sworn enemies, Dolibondo was the emcee of the night.
Funny man Doli as ladies love to call him did the job to great perfection that his jokes sent Salvador into huge laughter whenever he was introducing him. This signified the re-birth of comedy.
The other performer on the night, Musiimenta Ronnie McVex put up an insane performance that nearly blew away the Laftaz roof.
