Rwanda replaces Angola for BBA 9
KAMPALA, UGANDA - Africa’s biggest reality television series Big Brother Africa is expected to return on the DStv screens on September 7, this year.as usual, season nine of Big Brother Africa will surprise viewers with the way Biggie intends to rise to the occasion.
The East Africa nation of Rwanda will take the place of Angola during the 9th season of big brother Africa reality show. Angola which is a Portuguese South Africa country was represented in season 8 by Biguesas and Neyll.
With its own version of the show (Big Brother Angola), currently airing, it will not be represented.
Big Brother Angola premiered on May 25th and is available on channels 598 and 597 until July 27th.
Filled with drama, loads of laughter and tears, DStv viewers across Africa should get ready to be dazzled when Africa’s biggest reality series hits the screens on September.
Season 9 is no different; in fact, it is said that housemates and viewers alike will be pleasantly surprised at how Biggie intends to rise to this one. And in true Big Brother fashion, fans of the show and potential housemates will have to wait and see how he will turn dreams of some deserving and eager youngsters into reality and transform them into household names
Since the first season of Big Brother Africa, first won by a Zambian, Cherise Makubale, who has since settled in the United Kingdom, the reality series has attracted some funny, dramatic, weird and wonderful characters.
The 8th season which was dubbed Big Brother the Chase saw Namibia’s Dillish Mathews take home $300,000 after staying in the house for 91 days and being able to convince Africa to vote for her.
Some housemates who have been part of this huge show have had their talents realized and have gone on to grace TV screens; newspapers and have had their profiles trending on every social media site, blog and website.
Entry for season nine is open to the same 14 countries with the only exception being Angola which will be replaced by newcomers Rwanda. As a result of the change, participating countries this year are Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Entries are only open to persons over the age of 21, who are citizens of one of the participating countries and must have a valid passport.
