Kampala Parents School sets pace in international schools

KAMPALA, UGANDA- Kampala Parents ‘School continues to set the pace among its competitors pitching international level standard although it continues to follow a national curriculum.

Located along Lugogo By pass it swallows more than 3000 pupils taught by 130 trained teachers besides the supporting staff of 200.

Mention any part of the world and there is a pupil, enrolled there, who comes there. Boasting the role model of what an academic hub of Uganda, should be, the curriculum is balanced.

The Principal Daphne Kato testifies that, “The school mission is providing a first class education and civilization to the pupils from within and from outside Uganda with the hope that there will be a better world community tomorrow.”

Given a listen to the school anthem was an indication that pupils, teachers and parents of glorify the lord and their prayers ascend on high to achieve school goals and aspirations.

“The facility is equipped to capacity with computers, libraries, sports equipment, swimming pools and kitchens,” confided a pupil in the choir club. “We emerge all round characters.”

And a parent Stephen Masaba concurs about his children having; spacious classrooms, two well stocked school libraries, computer rooms with smart boards, a cookery room with cooking facilities, a tailoring room with enough sewing machines and art rooms.” 

A tour of the facility left impressed by a swimming pool on international standard, play fields (for Basketball and Netball,) a multipurpose hall and a sick bay with a qualified nurse and necessary drugs. 

Discipline remains a vital element in grooming the pupils. It is the key to success as evidenced by the good performance for many consecutive years. Come lunch time and the meals served are appetizing.

“Each day has its menu which varies with; rice matooke , sweet potatoes, beans, meat to mention but a few,” says Kato. “Break tea is also served with cookies and other snacks.”
