Speke Apartments conquer Kampala New Year celebrations

KAMPALA, UGANDA- With an exodus of Basummer (Ugandans In the Diaspora) besieging Kampala City at last Christmas and New Year, their eye lashes were being raised in surprise on seeing property developments like Speke Apartments along Wampewo Avenue.

Accustomed to staying in less fancy neighborhoods, some were hurrying to book units for their families there. “This is far better than a council flat in London,” observed Gideon Kityo from East London.

“Lo! Ugandans back home are sprinting kilometers away from us in investment.” Asked what is in store Kityo learned that the facility specializes in self-catering apartments for; corporate, leisure and family travellers who come to Kampala for short or long term.

“This Wampewo neighborhood combines aces like: being in a great location near Kampala Central Business District, being secure in this era of global terrorism threats, serenity, being spotless clean and serviced,” he told his wife Phina who is based in London, on phone “The accommodation is spread out over five floors.”

Conducted on a tour was a revelation the facility provides: one, two and three bedroom apartments that compete favorably when it comes to style and hospitality offered by hotels. The luxury rooms are spacious and command a good view of some of the city’s other hills. Like Kityo, these apartments are leaving an indelible impression on anyone who claps their eyes on them.

This is a stay you cannot only dream about but make a reality at Speke Apartments. The interiors are designer inspired with wonderful furnishings, tasteful décor and all the desired modern conveniences. “We are dedicated to your comfort and enjoyment during your stay,” says one of the Ruparelia Group of Companies director Rajiv Ruparelia. “Anything you need, just ask.

We have modern, up-to-date facilities combined with an old-fashioned attention to personal service. It’s a combination that represents an unforgettable experience.” True to his word residents have posted on their Facebook walls photos when spending warm, breezy afternoons, lazing in the sun, dining or sipping tumblers if wine. There is the luxurious spa and gym. Then there are the Pent Houses which are Kampala’s brand new face of luxury and decadence in the property world.

The plush property opens to a stunning living room with gorgeous furniture fitted with soft padded upholstery, high qualities of fixtures, furnishing, and appliances and is very ready to move in state. “It comes with three bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a balcony and a dining table with six chairs,” says John Reynolds a former occupant. “There is the wooden floor, an extensive living room and entertaining space.”

“Residents marvel at the width and ceiling height enjoying an abundance of natural light. There is also an impressive dining room and a separate service kitchen which is ideal for entertaining highbrow guests.”

The master bedroom is a breath taker given the balcony and two chairs. As if that were not enough, the facility boasts a Wi-Fi with a secret router, two HD screens and 24/7 power supply enough, comes the potted flowers at the balconies.

Better still the master bedroom is interconnecting to the balcony and both rooms have double beds. The apartments also have two bathrooms with bath/power shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances.

There is also a spacious lounge/dining area with a 55 inch HD screen and another 40 inch HD screen in the bedroom plus air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi and secret routers, Dstv and a music system. These apartments are in a quiet and convenient location in a luxurious and modern building that will guarantee a unique living experience.
