Tz gets Euro 15m for health PDF Print E-mail

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA- The government has signed a euro 15 million pact with Germany to support the health sector.

Health is priority number two after agriculture in Tanzania's budget and development agenda.

Out of the said amount, Euro 9million will be used to improve health services , while Euro 4.5million is to market contraceptives and condoms and the remaining Euro 1.5million is  for technical services within the sector.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Dar es Salaam last week, German Ambassador Guido Herz said Germany will continue helping Tanzania fight poverty

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Mr Ramadhani Khijah, who signed on behalf of the Tanzanian Government, thanked the German Government for her support in various areas.
