EDITOR––I cannot begin to imagine how much loss families, companies communities and the nation suffers due to motor accidents on our roads!

Much as we appreciate the fact that there is avaialable transport almost anywhere in the region, we travel knowing the probability of arriving in one piece is ahalf!

In Uganda, the government tried to reinforce speed governers, put more humps on roads, increase the number of traffic personnel in vain! Almost each week on average five people die in motor accidents!

In Tanzania, the bad roads and tight schedules that encourage over speeding have caused many an accident!

And now there are Kenya’s crowded taxis and irresponsible drivers. Our respective governments must work towards safe travelling. Otherwise how will trade boom?
